WHAT WE DID

For sketch London, we curated and produced Home of the Braves, a bold, narrative-driven installation conceived in collaboration with visionary artist and designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. We led the curatorial direction, coordinated the artistic partnership with emerging fashion designer Ida Immendorff, and oversaw the creative development and installation across the three iconic alcoves of the Gallery. Our role included the alignment of artistic vision with sketch’s architectural and cultural environment, partnership management, production oversight, and coordination with material collaborators such as Mylands, Doublet and CC-Tapis. Launched during London Design Festival in September 2024, the installation became one of the season’s standout cultural moments, reinforcing sketch’s position as a destination for progressive art and design.

About the Installation | Home of the Braves

Home of the Braves celebrates the pioneering courage and unapologetically fearless spirit of the Suffragettes. Imagined by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the installation channels his unmistakable visual language, a disciplined palette of blue, yellow, and red, and a multidisciplinary approach that merges art, fashion, and graphic expression. Castelbajac invited Ida Immendorff to reinterpret elements of protest and the historic suffragette apron, resulting in bespoke garments that dress the three alcoves and expand the installation’s narrative. Together, their collaboration transforms the space into a vibrant, modern homage to activism, unity, and creative resistance.
